In the process of putting together this free home breadmaking resource, I came to realise that many of the methods used in commercial bakeries could just as easily work on a smaller scale in the home bakery.

Having now produced thousands of loaves at home over many years, and hundreds of thousands more in bakeries large and small, I have developed a way of making bread that provides clean, efficient and simple methods for the home sourdough or artisan baker.

These methods work best with a few simple utensils and tools, and access to the e xact grades of flour I use in my recipes.

So it dawned on me that I need to start an Online Shop to supply not only these specialist things, but also to provide reliable and knowledgeable information to support it.

 



So here it is. The SourdoughBaker Shop. Like any new venture, it's taking a while to fully get filled up with products, but please hang in there, because it'll be worth your custom. Because I only stock small volumes, your flour and other ingredients are always fresh.

 

 

 

I source fresh organic and conventional flours from only the premium districts around Australia, and occasionally overseas. Due to low overheads, these flours are offered for sale at greatly reduced prices. If you're a regular home baker, the convenience of this range being delivered to your door quickly might appeal also.


 

 

I have a flat freight charge of $15 to anywhere in Australia for up to 5 kg. I also offer minimum discounts of 12% on bulk flour prices.

I freight fresh flour and sourdough starter to anywhere in Australia.

Current rates are as follows:


  • Sourdough Starter pack = FREE freight
  • Up to 5 kg   = $15

  • Up to 10 kg = $20

  • Up to 15 kg = $25

  • Up to 20 kg = $30

  • Up to 25 kg = $35

  • Up to 30 kg = $40


I use Registered Mail with Australia Post for most items, and this has proven to be reliabe and accountable. I have never misplaced a delivery!

If there's a problem with anything I supply, I exchange or refund as appropriate, no questions asked.

You can pay with PayPal using the PayPal gateway. Or, you can simply email me your order, and I'll sort the rest out for you.

Also, in the recommended reading section, I've made a shortlist of my all time favourite breadmaking books. These books I consider to be essential reading for any home baker, as they are accurate, easy to understand, and have been well written. And of course, most of them are available in the SourdoughBaker Bookstore.
